It’s no secret that cats are little agents of chaos, but Tilly the rescue cat took it to a whole new level! When Dario Barberi, an Italian student with a soft spot for furballs, adopted Tilly, he knew life would get interesting. What he didn’t know was that his latest homework assignment would end up as Tilly’s midnight snack, leaving Barberi with more than a little explaining to do. And to think he’d just dropped $30 on cat toys and scratch posts!
Barberi discovered Tilly’s handiwork (paw-iwork?) one afternoon upon returning home. The evidence was everywhere: shredded paper strewn across the floor with Tilly looking suspiciously guilty nearby. Turns out, Dario’s assignment, due the very next day, had become Tilly’s favorite form of ‘entertainment’! And for all that cash spent on cat toys? Let’s just say Tilly’s interest in them was nonexistent. Clearly, in Tilly’s book, no toy compares to the joy of chomping down on her human’s hard work.
Despite Tilly’s unexpected snack choice, Barberi couldn’t stay mad at her for long, especially after remembering her rough start to life. Found with a severe abdomen infection in an abandoned warehouse, Tilly was given a second chance thanks to local volunteers. Now, she’s making up for lost time in her forever home, adding a little ‘cat flair’ to everyday life—including Dario’s schoolwork! Luckily, after some pleading, Barberi’s teacher gave him an extension (and probably a chuckle), especially after he managed to redo the assignment. Lesson learned: keep homework far from Tilly’s reach!
